Founders, Winners, and Losers

When you work with founders there’s a trend that you notice

" Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen. "

Wanting and wishing is for spectators... the people that sit in the stands and cheer for their heroes. The winners… are in the arena making damn sure it happens.

Here's how to tell which camp you’re in:

The Spectators: The 21st Century Entrepreneurs

  • Outsource as much as possible

  • Focus on efficiency all the time

  • Get a lot of anything else before we make money

  • Want to look good

  • Are usually broke or barely scraping by (but usually think they’re not)

Those Who Make It Happen: The Growth Founders

  • Do everything till they can’t.

  • Focus on effectiveness all the time.

  • Get money before they get a lot of anything else.

  • Need to be better.

  • Are usually well stocked for years or striving to be (but spend like they’re broke or barely scraping by)

The crazy part is you are not one or the other, everyone flows between both of these identities.

The growth founders, the ones that do it again and again, know how to transition from one to the other.

They know how to dig deep and find their fire.

Again. And Again. And Again.
